The Transportation Security Administration's Quick Screen program is gaining momentum.
It's being added to dozens more airports across the country.
WIOD travel editor Peter Greenberg says the program can help low-risk passengers get through security faster, but it will only be successful if the TSA invests in the necessary personnel and basic infrastructure to keep the Quick Screen lines moving.
Pre-check is available to pre-screened passengers for a one-time fee of $85.00.
It's similar to the Global Entry program which allows for faster clearance through customs using kiosks.
