Bloodhounds Donated To BSO & PBSO From Jimmy Ryce Foundation

Some new four-legged friends are now among the ranks of deputies in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

The Jimmy Ryce Foundation is donating four young bloodhounds to the department.

Each animal underwent a 15-week training session with the department.

BSO spokesperson Dani Moschella says bloodhounds can track a missing person hours -- even days after they disappear.

The animals can be used to track down any missing persons or at-risk people...and the animals are considered gentle and won't hurt the people they're looking for.

The hounds are still considered pups, and are a little over a year-old.

The Jimmy Ryce Foundation, among other things, provides bloodhounds free to law enforcement to help find abducted and lost children.
