The State of Florida will continue hearing from residents weighing in on the implementation of Common Core educational standards through Thursday, October 31st.
The Florida Board of Education will vote soon on whether to continue phasing in the national education standards, and they're getting plenty of advice from average Floridians.
The state education department has received almost 13 thousand comments from the public so far.
The Board of Education will review those comments and then figure out where the state is heading.
There's an unusual coalition of Tea Party conservatives and liberal Democrats who oppose the Common Core standards, since local school boards will lose control over curriculums.
