FCAT Snafu Affects Thousands In Broward And Miami-Dade

Posted Wednesday, April 23rd 2014 @ 8am

FCAT testing resumes in Florida after a nightmare Tuesday.

Computer glitches stopped testing for thousands of students who couldn't log into their computers to take the test or who received error messages upon completion.

In Miami-Dade, a very frustrated Superintendent Alberto Carvalho says this creates an uneven playing field that will impact results.

Broward's Superintendent Robert Runcie says it remains to be seen how this affects outcomes.

The private company administering the tests blames a 3rd party service provider for the snafu.
