The Miami Heat have arrived at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort.
No lazy days by the pool here though. Instead, the Heat will spend the next four days shooting, sprinting, and sweating in this year's training camp.
Much of the core members of last season's championship team return, with ace sharpshooter Mike Miller being the only major offseason loss. Miami added a pair of reclamation projects in center Greg Oden, a former #1 overall draft pick, and forward Michael Beasley, Miami's 2nd overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Opening Night is less than a month away. The Heat will receive their championship rings and watch the 2012-13 championship banner rise to the rafters October 29 at the American Airlines Arena against the Chicago Bulls.
