Miami is a tourist tax heaven.

Kiplinger's Personal Finance has rounded up tax heavens and hells for travelers.

Miami ranks number four among tourist tax heavens, with an added tax bill of $28.08 a day.  

Senior Associate Editor Sandra Block says the list takes into consideration taxes on hotels, rental cars, meals, and alcoholic beverages, and Miami boasts a below average rate across the board for major destination cities.

In some places, the tax on all that could add as much as 35 percent to your getaway bill.

The worst tourist tax hell was Chicago, with added taxes of $41.04 per day.
