Report: Miami Dolphins No Longer Seeking Tax Relief Plan For Sun Life Stadium
Posted Tuesday, May 20th 2014 @ 12pm

Major changes when it comes to the way the Miami Dolphins pay for upgrades to Sun Life Stadium.

Sources say the Fins are nixing their push for tax relief -and will ask Miami-Dade to pay the team an unknown amount of money for each major event the stadium brings, like a Super Bowl or World Cup soccer.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is expected to use private funds to renovate the stadium.

The new proposal comes as NFL owners meet in Atlanta today to award the 2018 Super Bowl host city---The finalists include New Orleans, Indianapolis and Minneapolis.
