South Floridians NOT Saving For A Rainy Day

The savings rate for the average South Florida household is...zero.

 

The Miami area has the lowest "savings opportunity" in the nation after Phoenix.  

 

 

Interest.com's Mike Sante after all expenses and discretionary spending are done for the month, the average household has 18 dollars left for savings.

 

The survey finds only 16 percent of South Floridians are contributing to a 401k or IRA.
