Tri-Rail and transit bus passengers are left in shock after two men are shot at the Golden Glades Tri-Rail station.
Miami-Dade police say it all began when two Tri-Rail security guards removed a suspicious man, believed to be possibly armed with a gun, from a train.
The passenger pushed one guard onto the tracks, a fight ensued and the guard was shot.
As Tri-Rail passengers were rushing to lift the guard off the tracks and stop the bleeding, the suspect made a run for it.
He jumped a fence, ran onto State Road 9 and tried to board a transit bus.
With cops trailing him, the bus driver closed the doors.
When he surrendered, officers realized he had been shot too.
Both he and the guard were airlifted to the hospital.
They're in stable condition.
Investigators are trying to determine who shot whom.
Trouble in Northwest Miami-Dade after two people are shot near the tri-rail at the Golden Glades Interchange.
Cops say the shooting happened along 160th Street and Northwest 7th Avenue, and one of the victims is a tri-rail officer.
Initial reports say the officer was trying to remove a passenger and was shot after....
A passenger was also shot in the scuffle, and cops say there is a person in custody.
