Suspect Turns Himself In After Fatally Shooting Chili's Employee, Police Chase

The suspected gunman wanted for the killing of a Chili’s employee in Miami Gardens has been taken into custody.

According to Miami Gardens Police, 31-year-old Arturo Exum turned himself into police, Tuesday morning, just after 10 a.m. Police said 36-year-old Lester Reid was shot inside the Chili’s location by Exum. See details below update line.

Miami Gardens Police are searching for the man who shot a Chili's restaurant worker to death Monday.  

Police say employee Lester Reid, 36, got into an argument with a female coworker. The situation escalated to the point where the female employee felt the need to call her boyfriend, who authorities have identified as 31-year-old Arturo Exum. 

Exum showed up at the restaurant (at 19801 NW 2nd Ave, Miami) and shot Reid several times.

Reid was taken to Aventura Hospital, where he died Monday afternoon.
