Floridian-Venezuelans Protest Socialist President in Downtown Miami

Venezuelans in South Florida are planning to protest President Nicolas Maduro and his government outside downtown Miami's Freedom Tower Wednesday evening.

Hundreds have already taken the streets throughout the day to protest against the embattled socialist leader.

The opposition movement has been escalating for some time now against Maduro's socialist policies and the country's economic crisis.

U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, of Florida, says he's very concerned over the potential violence from Maduro's government used to shut down protesters, as reported by Local 10 News.

Government supporters in Venezuela are holding their own counter demonstration.
