Infant Rushed To Hospital After Roof Collapse In Hialeah

A 10-month-old baby in Hialeah was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital Friday morning after a roof partially collapsed at a home.

Fire rescue crews arrived at the home located at 767 West 2nd Avenue shortly before 9:30 a.m. They believe that the collapse was a result of heavy rain.

The infant suffered injuries to their face from the collapse, though it is not clear how extensive those injuries are at the time.

No one else was hurt.

Hialeah Fire officials are now checking to see if it's safe to allow evacuated residents to come back to the residence.
