VIDEO: Miami-Bound Flight Suffers Bird Strike, Engine Fire

Passengers on a Chicago-to-Miami flight arriving safely in South Florida after experiencing a bird strike.

United Airlines officials said a bird likely hit an engine of Flight 1738 yesterday after takeoff from O'Hare International Airport, causing the balls of flames to flare from damaged engine that were visible from passenger windows.

The Boeing 737-900 circled back to Chicago's main airport and touched down without incident. After a brief delay, the passengers were moved to another plane before continuing to Miami.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
