Girl, 19, Found Dead Behind Fort Lauderdale Home After Sex Soliciting

A Virginia man is behind bars for allegedly killing a 19-year-old girl who police say he solicited for sex.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said 25-year-old Tyquan Pearson solicited sex from Brittney Taylor. Taylor was allegedly driven by her boyfriend to the Comfort Suites located at 8301 West Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac around 11 a.m. on May 25.

When the girl failed to come out of the hotel, her boyfriend got worried and called her brother, James, who then allegedly contacted the Broward County Sheriff's Office to put out a missing person's report.

Investigators then showed James a prostitution website with Taylor’s picture on it, confirming that the girl was being solicited for sex, with an online listing price of $280. Police say Pearson got ahold of the teen through the website.

According to BSO detectives, surveillance video showed Taylor arriving at the hotel May 25 and later showed Pearson leaving the room Taylor was in four hours later, pushing a stroller that carried a storage container.

Officials believe her remains were inside the container and that Pearson later buried the body in the back of a home in Fort Lauderdale.

Pearson was arrested in Virginia and charged with first-degree murder. The motive for the murder remains under investigation.
