Florida To Hand Over Voter Information In Alleged Voter Fraud Investigation

The administration of Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced Thursday that it will hand over some voter information being sought by President Donald Trump's commission investigating alleged voter fraud in the 2016 election.

The voter fraud commission is asking for detailed personal information about voters in every state. This includes everything from names, addresses and in some cases, the last four digits of social security numbers.

But Secretary of State Ken Detzner, who was appointed by the Republican governor, wrote a letter to the vice chair of the commission saying that the state will only hand over information that is already public record.

Some support Florida turning over all of their data, others believe the investigation is a waste of time.

The letter does not say what the commission intends to do with the information, something that is required by many states before it can be handed out.
