Ex-Miami Beach Asst. Principal Gets 5 Years Prison For Child Porn Charges

Former Miami Beach assistant principal Donald Paul Clippinger will spend nearly five years behind bars following a guilty plea to child pornography charges.

Clippinger, 49, pleaded guilty to three counts of accessing child porn through video conferencing software. Investigators caught Clippinger — also known under the username 666perv — using the software three times in two weeks in November 2015.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Miami says Clippinger used his home computer to access and view the child pornography.

He was arrested in February  at his home in Miami Shores, and was fired from his position at Miami-Dade public school Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center.

U.S. District Judge Cecilia Altonaga sentenced Clippinger on Friday to 58 months in prison and 25 years of supervised release. When he gets out, he’ll have to register as a sex offender.
