Seventh Home Condemned, Victim To Massive Sinkhole In Lank O' Lakes

Another home was condemned Monday morning, bringing the total number of homes that have fallen victim to a massive sinkhole in Land O' Lakes to seven.

Pasco County officials say a home at 21845 Ocean Pines Drive in Lake Padgett Estates was condemned, following two on Sunday, two on Friday and another two homes that were destroyed when the sinkhole opened.

In addition, at least one more home in the Tampa suburb is likely to be declared unliveable as well.

Contractors have been working to clean debris from the sinkhole, which has grown as wide as 260 feet since Saturday morning.

Authorities have described this as Pasco's largest sinkhole in decades. The sinkhole has been a threat since Friday, July 14.
