Lee County Sheriff's officers are thanking eyewitnesses for assisting in the speedy arrest of a suspected bank robber.
Linn Richard Thompson, 41, of Bonita Springs, is charged with robbing the Wells Fargo Bank on Bonita Beach Road Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the apparently unarmed man got away with an unknown amount of cash but was seen and photographed fleeing the area in a blue Jeep Liberty.
Deputies spotted the vehicle at a nearby Advanced Auto Parts on U.S. 41 and detained Thompson for questioning when he came out of the store.
Thompson is being held on a $75,000 bond.
