Fins, Safety Michael Thomas Holding Items Drive For TX Flood Victims

The Miami Dolphins, along with the Hard Rock Stadium and Nova Southeastern University, are now accepting critical items donations for Texas flooding victims. 

According to Miami Dolphins’ safety Michael Thomas, organizer of the drive, donations are being accepted at Hard Rock Stadium. The donation period began Wednesday morning and will run until September 15. 

According to Thomas' tweet, those interested in donating can enter through gate 4 of the Miami Gardens arena at 347 Don Shula Dr. From there, staff will directed them to a donation drop box.

A second drop off location is available and open to the public at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University, located at 7500 SW 30th Street in Davie, according to the Miami Dolphins.

The Fins are asking for donations of:

·        Baby clothes

·        Nonperishable food

·        Bottled Water

·        Sanitizer wipes

·        Clothing

·        School Supplies

·        Batteries

·        Candles

·        Blankets

·        Feminine Hygiene Products

·        Toiletries

·        Socks

·        New Underwear (Sweatpants & Shirts)

·        Clothing

·        Hand Sanitizer

·        Plates

·        Coffee

·        Creamer

·        Sugar

Thomas is a native of Houston and currently has family there.

"Doesn't matter the color of your skin. Doesn't matter how much money you make, your status or nothing like that," Thomas said after Monday's practice in Davie. "When we're going through something like this, this is when people really help each other, and if it could be like this all the time then the world would be a better place."

Thomas also tweeted that relief supplies can be mailed to 1865 Aldine Bender Road, Houston, TX 77032.
