A woman is dead following an overnight shooting Sunday, near a popular Miami Lakes restaurant.
Authorities say the victim, identified as 21-year-old Juliana Quinones Reinoso, and a male companion had finished having dinner at Los Verdes on the 7500 block of Northwest 186th Street.
Witnesses say the woman came out of the restaurant and got into a car. The car immediately drove away from the person who opened fire, but came to a stop just a few feet away.
Restaurant employees said Reinoso and her companion argued before leaving.
Police officers momentarily detained the car’s driver at the scene, but he was later released and detectives don’t have any suspects under arrest at this time.
Employees at the restaurant told NBC 6 that investigators are now reviewing surveillance videos from the cameras inside and outside the restaurant.
