WWE Wrestler Suspended, Headed To Court After Florida Arrest

A pro wrestler is heading to Florida court this Monday to face a different kind of opponent.

The WWE suspended wrestler Rich Swann, 26, following his arrest on battery and false imprisonment charges Saturday.

According to Gainesville Police, Swann was arguing with his wife Vannarah Riggs, who goes by Su Yung (also a wrestler). Yung had wrestled earlier in the day.

A police report said Swann criticized her performance and the pair began arguing. A witness told police that Riggs jumped out of Swann’s slowly moving car.

The report says the witness also saw Swann put Riggs in a headlock and dragged her back to his vehicle.

In a statement released Sunday, WWE said it “has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence.”

Swann is a former WWE cruiserweight champion.
