Puerto Rico Experiencing Shortage Of Cops, Sen. Nelson Calls On Congress

There's a shortage of cops patrolling the streets of Puerto Rico.

Authorities say thousands of officers that are already owed overtime for working during Hurricane Maria are calling out sick.

The U.S. territory has one of the largest police departments with over 13,000 officers, but the police chief says nearly 3,000 cops aren't showing up to work every day.

Florida State Sen. Bill Nelson paid a visit to the island Wednesday and is calling on Congress to help.
