New FL Law Sets Visitation Right Guidelines For Divorced, Separated Parents

A new law on the books in Florida impacts parents who are not married.

The state Department of Revenue can now provide divorced and separated parents with a proposed Standard Parenting Time Plan. It creates a schedule for visitations if the parents can't come up with their own schedule or if a court orders one.

Legislators say the law is designed to promote contact between non-custodial parents and their children.

There's also a new website for parents when it comes to paying and getting child support.
