UF Study: Men Are More Sensitive To Sexual Harassment Actions Than Woman

Be careful what you say to young adult males.

A recent University of Florida study reveals millennial males are more likely to report so-called "subjective" sexual harassment actions than millennial females.

While both men and women were highly sensitive to premeditated or deliberate acts of harassment (such as unwanted touch, exposure, or having their picture taken without consent), males were surprisingly more sensitive than females to sexual jokes, cat calls and staring.

The study was conducted Nov. 27-28, 2017 and included a community of 18-35 year-olds -- examining sensitivities to actions and behaviors that fall broadly under the label of "sexual harassment."
