Police say a man was shot in Wynwood early Tuesday morning during an apparent carjacking.
Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene near NW 2nd Avenue and 23rd Street around 3:30 a.m.
According to witnesses, the victim and another person were walking toward a BMW when two men in masks approached them, shooting the man and taking off in the car.
The victim was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
Roads in the area were closed for about two hours as police conducted their investigation, re-opening shortly after 5:45 a.m.
