Smart Asset recently ranked Naples, Florida, as the number one retirement spot. The company compiled its list of top retirement destinations in the U.S. by analyzing:
- State and local tax rates
- Doctors offices per capita
- Recreation sites per capita
- Retirement centers per capita
- Percentage of population that is senior age
Following Naples, the rest of the top five places to retire in Florida are New Port Richey, Orange Park, Brooksville and Stuart.
