Posting on Twitter, Pollack says he filed the suit in order to "expose that coward" so that others would recognize him.
Peterson resigned shortly after Sheriff Scott Israel suspended him when it was discovered that he did not enter the building despite being in a position just outside during the shooting.
17-year-old Meadow Pollack was one of 17 killed during the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School back in February.
