Grave Containing Army Veteran Dug Up Without Explanation In Florida

A Florida police department on the Gulf Coast says it is still investigating a motive in the opening of a casket containing the remains of an Army veteran.

When visiting Palm Cemetery in Polk County on Sunday, Bartow Police officials say Willie Graham's relatives were surprised to find the lid to his casket removed, the burial site covered by a blue tarp, and his clothes laying on the ground nearby.

Graham was a Polk County teacher who died almost 20 years ago.

Bartow officials continue to investigate, but believe the grave robbing was likely done by thieves looking for valuables.
