North Miami Beach has a new mayor...
Commissioners voting 5 to 1 in favor of appointing Vice Mayor Beth Spiegel as Mayor until the next election.
Spiegel was serving as interim Mayor after former Mayor George Vallejo resigned last month.
The commission will now begin seeking a new Vice Mayor to fill that vacancy.
The city will be accepting applications from now until June 7th.
