Miami Heat star and philanthropist Ray Allen is giving back with his 'Ray of Hope' Foundation.
At a ceremony Thursday afternoon, Allen teamed up with Mack Cycle and Fitness and Giant Bicycle Company to donate 25 bicycles, helmets, and locks to Homestead Middle School students rewarding academic achievement.
The University of Miami BikeSafe Program will teach the students safe riding skills.
Earlier this year, Ray of Hope donated a state-of-the-art computer lab to Homestead Middle.
Founded in 1996, the mission of Ray of Hope is to assist with sports-related, community-based programs and provides avenues of opportunity through which our youth can “hope” to realize their full potential.
