Police in Miami-Dade are investigating a threat to "shoot up" Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The threat, which is not the first, was reported to local news outlets just before 10 a.m. Monday.

"I AM GOING TO SHOOT UP WEST WING BUILDING JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TODAY AT NOON. BE THERE TO SEE IT BLOODY.!!!!!!!!!!" a threatening email read.

Police said they are checking each area of the hospital as a precaution, but no lockdowns are in place at this time.

The incident comes days after a similar threat was phoned in to JMH on Friday.

Authorities said they detained someone from that call, but it's unclear whether that person is still in custody.
