UCF Welcomes New University President

There is a new boss at the University of Central Florida.

As of Sunday, Dale Whittaker officially became president of the Orlando school.

The former UCF vice provost replaces John Hitt, who retired after 26 years as president.

In a column for the "Orlando Sentinel" last month, Hitt called Whittaker "a trusted and tested leader" and said the best is yet to come for UCF.
