A homicide investigation is underway after a woman's body was found on Tuesday in a community garden in Delray Beach.
Detectives say the remains of 33-year-old Jennifer Salcito were discovered at the Frog Alley Community Garden near SW 4th Avenue and SW 3rd Street.
Delray Beach Police officials said the body may have been at that location for a few days.
A resident smelled a foul odor and notified a friend at Code Enforcement. According to authorities, the body was partially hidden by brush.
Crews responded, discovered the body and called police.
Detectives will be knocking on doors and handing out flyers today in search of clues in the case.
The death is being investigated as a homicide, but how Salcito died has not been released yet.
