A hazmat situation is underway in Fort Lauderdale, Thursday morning.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials say police are at the scene of a home near Northeast 56th Court.
Officials say hazardous material was found inside the home. Several Fort Lauderdale officers were exposed to an unknown chemical and were evaluated by the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Hazmat team.
One person has been arrested by police.
Fire rescue said the hazard has been contained to the home and has not spread to nearby homes.
