Study Says You May Hate Cardio Less If Your Dog's Involved

The thought of doing cardio may make you cringe, but it turns out you might hate it less if you involve your dog!

University of Greenville researchers created a physical education course for college students that allowed them to volunteer at an animal shelter for class credit.

Students ended up walking roughly 4,500 steps per 50 min session, and they noted that the time completely flew by because both them and the dog were having fun.

And for the record, any type of activity that increases your heart rate counts as cardio -- including walking, no (milk)bones about it!
