SoFla Experiencing Hurricane Shutter Delays Due To Trump's Tariffs

Companies in Florida that work to make hurricane shutters are experiencing delays because of President Donald Trump's tariffs on steel and aluminum.

Several South Florida makers of the shutters say that because of the high demand for shutters and the increased metal prices because of the tariffs, waiting periods that used to be four to six weeks can now be as long as six months.

They say people who haven't ordered their shutters by now may not receive them before hurricane season ends November 30th.
