Florida Sending Crews To California To Assist With Wildfires

The Sunshine State is sending help to California, where massive wildfires are causing death and destruction.

Ralph Crawford, assistant fire chief for the Florida Forest Service, says they've been dispatching individual firefighters for several weeks

.Just this past weekend, Florida delivered five four-wheel-drive firefighting trucks and support personnel to California.

Crawford says the vehicles and crews are being assigned to the people battling the Carr fire in Shasta County, which has already consumed more than 100,000 acres and claimed at least six lives.
