Crews Save Eight Furry Victims From Miami-Dade House Fire

Eight cats are getting the chance to live out their nine lives for a little longer after being saved from a house fire in Southwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews arrived at the home off SW 132nd Avenue and 102nd Street just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The homeowner informed authorities that several animals were still inside the burning home when they arrived.

One unit put out the blaze, while another went inside the home to save the furry victims.

Crews were able to save all eight felines and no one – cat or human – was injured.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
