Miami Lakes Receiving $1.4-Million From FEMA For Flood Mitigation

The town of Miami Lakes getting federal money for flood mitigation.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has approved over $1.4-million to fund flood control measures to reduce or eliminate repetitive flood damage in the West Lakes community in Miami-Dade County.

The grant will pay for 75-percent of the total cost of a project to install a drainage system that will help over 236 homes subject to repeat flooding.
