Federal Appeals Court Calls For Elimination Of Citrus Pesticide

A federal appeals court is ordering the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to stop selling a harmful pesticide in the United States.

The 9th Circuit in San Francisco wants the pesticide chlorpyrifos completely eliminated, due to scientific evidence that it can harm the developing brains of small children.

Approximately five-million pounds of the pesticide is sold each year and it is primarily sprayed on citrus fruits and apples.
