FBI, FL Police Search For "Cover-Up Bandit" Serial Bank Robber

The FBI is offering a generous reward in exchange for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for at least four South Florida bank robberies.

Investigators with Delray Beach PD, Fort Lauderdale PD, Lighthouse Point PD, the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force and the FBI say the “Cover-Up Bandit” disguises his appearance during each robbery.

It is believed that the “Cover-Up Bandit” was allegedly involved in the following robberies:

  • Wells Fargo Bank 
    • 6245  North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale 
    • On 1/16/2018
  • Wells Fargo Bank 
    • 6245 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale
    • On 2/2/2018 
  • PNC Bank 
    • 5017 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach
    • On 2/16/2018 
  • Bank United 
    • 2500 North Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point
    • On 2/22/2018

Authorities say the robber should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this bank robber is urged to call the FBI at (754) 703-2000 or Crimestoppers. They will be eligible for up to a $5,000 reward.
