Florida is now home to the largest honeybee research laboratory in the country and possibly the world.

The four-point-five million dollar facility opened at the University of Florida in Gainesville over the weekend.

Researcher Jamie Ellis says laboratory's overall mission is to figure out how to reverse the decline in the honeybee population.
