PR Gov. Backs Nelson, Not Scott, In Florida Senate Race

Florida Governor and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rick Scott may have already made nine trips to Puerto Rico since the island was devastated by Hurricane Maria... but it seems like that's not enough to gain the endorsement of its governor.

In Orlando on Monday, Ricardo Rosselló announced he's backing the re-election of Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson, calling him "a great friend and a great champion of the people of Puerto Rico."

Rosselló acknowledged that Scott has also been a friend and called the decision to endorse Nelson a tough one.

Later, in Kissimmee, he also endorsed the Democratic nominee for governor, Andrew Gillum.
