Florida Legislative Session - Unemployment For Victims Of Domestic Abuse

Here's the daily recap of some of the notable developments from Florida’s session.

On Tuesday:

  • A House committee approved a bill that would require police to have a warrant prior to tapping digital assistants for any revealing information on a suspect.
  • A Senate committee approved easing the standards and licensing requirements for dozens of trade professions, one of Governor DeSantis’s points of focus in his State of the State address.
  • A bill unanimously passed a House committee that would enable victims of domestic abuse to collect unemployment should they need to quit their jobs to relocate.
