Miramar Shop Linked to Indonesia Plane Crash

A new report connects a south Florida repair shop to the Lion Air jet that crashed into the Java Sea.

XTRA Aerospace located in Miramar worked on a sensor installed on the Boeing 737 Max 8 plane the day before it crashed near Indonesia. All 189 passengers on board perished.

The documents state false signals from the sensor triggered repeat nose down movements shortly after takeoff, an issue the pilot tried to fix.

A spokesperson for XTRA Aerospace released a statement saying, “our thoughts and condolences are with all those who have lost loved ones in the recent 737 Max 8 accidents. We are fully committed to supporting any investigations into this matter.”

The company located near Southwest 29th Street and 29th Avenue is only linked to the Lion Air jet crash at this time.
