(Miami) -- Tropical Depression Fred is changing course and shifting west. It's currently producing heavy rains in Cuba and the keys. The system is expected to regain tropical storm strength over the weekend and a Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Florida Keys west of the Seven Mile Bridge to the Dry Tortugas

Fred is still expected to bring heavy rain to the Florida Keys and the Florida Peninsula, but now it's expected to move over more open waters further into the Gulf of Mexico, and make landfall late Monday along the coast of Alabama or the Florida Panhandle.

Also, Tropical Storm Grace has formed about 400 miles east of the Leeward Islands. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. South Florida could see some impact from Tropical storm Grace by Wednesday.
