Residents of West Palm Beach have been providing input on the future of the city's waterfront.

City leaders tossed out a proposal for a marina along Flagler Drive after public backlash and are now looking for ideas.

They got several at Tuesday night's meeting, including some folks who said they want more green spaces.

"Put mangroves and made it so people would have a natural area to kayak growth don't have to be that big. That would be a step in the right direction," one resident said.

"When you have more and more people and less and less green space. It's not good for us. It's not healthy,” another resident said.

One final meeting as part of the city's "Your Waterfront, Your Way" initiative happens this Saturday from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Mandel Public Library off Clematis Street.
