Best to get the info from the horse's, I mean greyhound's mouth. Here's the scoop this handsome fella from the folks at Friends of Greyhounds in Hialeah.
"Meet WW’s Powerforce, aka Ozzy in our work area. Oz is a red dog, born in June of 2008, and his racing weight was 69 lbs. He had an excellent racing career reaching grade A in his 181 race career and trying his paws in a couple Stakes races as well.
Oz is now ready to take up home living, like the rest of the dog world. He’s quiet, obedient, good natured, and laughs at all of our jokes. This boy is also 4 years old, in the prime of his life, and more than ready to be adopted.
If you are in possession of a feline friend or one is renting a room from you at your casa, you may want to pass on Oz, he did not test as cat tolerant, so he may not get along with our furry fish eating friends. That’s not to say he doesn’t like other dogs, most greyhounds do get along with other breeds, larger or smaller, so if you have another K-9 living with you, don’t let that stop you from checking out our inmates.
But beware; our dogs can become habit forming, like potato chips, many of our adopters have been returning for just one more to go along with the one they’ve already adopted. Curious? Feel free to come out any weekend and see for yourself how wonderful these under the radar animals are, you just might make a fast friend, or two, for life. Nothing says love like one of our hounds."
So go check Ozzy out this weekend - along with all of the other Greyhounds available for adoption.
